People in AD.
Email in OmniMailing.
Manage mailboxes through your existing Active Directory. Employees use Windows credentials, while membership of the mail group determines access to the system.
One directory for employee management
Integration connects email to the account lifecycle you already manage. Employees do not need another separate password for the web workspace and apps.
Group-based mailboxes
The server creates mailboxes for members of the selected AD group, including nested groups. The login determines the mailbox name, and the display name comes from the directory.
Windows credentials
AD credentials are used for email, the web workspace and apps. Short logins, domain-qualified names and DOMAIN\login are supported.
No duplicate after renaming
Renaming an account does not create a second mailbox. Disabling a person or removing group membership disables the mailbox during the next synchronisation.

How to connect
Prepare the Windows domain
The OmniMailing server must join the domain. The service runs as Local System and reads the directory using the computer account, without a separate service password.
Choose the mail group
Connect using the installer or the Active Directory settings in the admin panel. Add employees who need mailboxes to the mail group.
Set the synchronisation interval
Directory checks run every 15 minutes by default; the interval is configurable. Account for this interval when planning access revocation. Messages in a disabled mailbox are retained.
Test sign-in and access changes
Test normal sign-in, password changes, group removal and behaviour when the domain controller is unavailable before connecting all employees.
Employee and service mailboxes together
Manually created mailboxes such as info@ work alongside AD mailboxes. Shared folder read and edit permissions can be assigned to employees and Active Directory groups.
Before you connect
Prepare the group structure, employee count, email address format and email client list. The demo can cover mailbox creation, sign-in and the employee departure workflow.
